Who sells DirWiz

DirWiz is made and sold by Okan Erturan, an independent developer trading as Tilqui. Tilqui is a trading name, not a separate company. In these terms, "I" and "me" mean Okan Erturan trading as Tilqui, and "you" means the person or organisation buying or using DirWiz.

Free trial

The DirWiz you download from this site works free for 7 days, with every feature. You do not need an account or a card. After 7 days the app asks for a license key and stops scanning until you enter one.

How you buy it

A license costs $9.99. You pay once, and there is no subscription. Purchases on dirwiz.app are processed by an online reseller that acts as the merchant of record. The reseller handles payment, invoicing and sales tax, and its own buyer terms apply to the transaction itself. The price shown at checkout is the price you pay, and tax is included in it.

Your license key is shown on the page you land on after you pay, and the reseller also sends it to your email address. If you lose it, you can get it back at dirwiz.app/account with the email address you used at checkout.

If you get DirWiz from the Mac App Store or through Setapp, the purchase is made with Apple or Setapp under their terms, and those terms decide billing and refunds for that copy. Those copies need no license key. The trial, the key and the 5 Mac rule on this page do not apply to them.

Your license

A purchase gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use DirWiz on Macs that you own or control. You may not resell, sublicense, or share your license key, and you may not reverse engineer, modify, or redistribute the app, except where the law gives you that right regardless of these terms.

One license key can be active on up to 5 Macs at the same time. To free a place, open the License window on a Mac you no longer use and click Deactivate. If you cannot get to that Mac any more, write to support@dirwiz.app and I will free its place for you.

Activating a key needs an internet connection once. After that, DirWiz does not need to go online to keep working. If a Mac cannot go online at all, write to me and I will send you a license that works without a connection.

Updates within the major version you bought are included. A license bought for DirWiz 2 covers every 2.x release. If a future major version requires a new purchase, that will be stated clearly before you pay.

Refunds

You can get a full refund within 30 days of buying, for any reason. The refund policy explains how. Once a refund is issued, the license key is cancelled and cannot be used to activate DirWiz again.

What DirWiz does with your files

DirWiz reads your disk to show what is using space. When you choose to remove something, DirWiz moves it to the Trash rather than deleting it, so you can restore it until you empty the Trash. You are responsible for what you choose to remove and for keeping backups of anything important.

No warranty

DirWiz is provided "as is". I work hard to make it accurate and safe, but I cannot promise it will be free of errors or suited to every purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, I am not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost data, and my total liability is limited to the amount you paid for DirWiz.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have as a consumer under the laws of the country where you live.

Privacy

Nothing DirWiz scans ever leaves your Mac. The version from this site connects to my own server, api.dirwiz.app, to activate or deactivate a license, to look for updates and, when you choose Install and Relaunch, to download the update, and for nothing else. The Mac App Store version, when available, makes no network connections at all. The privacy policy lists exactly what is sent and what is kept.

Changes

If these terms change, this page changes first, with a new date at the top. Changes never reduce the rights attached to a purchase you have already made.
